I’ve been thinking more about how we use the word “lift” in our work. The reality is that “lift” implies effort. A lift is a lift and is rarely just light or heavy but always relative and contextual. See my further thoughts in the link below.

As leaders, we must prioritize our role in developing others. To do this, we must also truly value that we get to learn from & alongside those we mentor & coach. In many cases, we coach people much more skilled than ourselves. Don’t fear that reality - embrace it.
