I did my very first film with Maggie Smith ,The Missionary .We had to rummage in the freezing cold Thames on a night shoot in Victorian clothing. Warming up afterwards, I asked if she was feeling better “I don’t mind walking ON water darling, I just don’t like walking IN it.’ RIP
