Jon Cooper says the Avs crowd creates an energy early in the game that the team feeds off of.
He said it was that energy combined with altitude that made TB struggle in games 1 and 2.
Bring it tonight Avs fans. You literally have an impact.
Great teammate moment in the dressing room when Nichushskin finishes undressing, he walks across the room straight to Byram to shake his hand tell him everything’s alright
GOING INTO THE 1ST INTERMISSION
Enjoy this clip of Rookie Ryan Winterton kicking MacKinnon’s foot out and Nate bitching to the Ref about it, while the play continues on without him.
While I hate stirring the pot among other “media” members, I’ve always had a thing for standing up for my friends especially if their professionalism is being falsely questioned and judged.
🧵
Friends, foes, followers. I will not be covering tonight’s game. My first born son will be making his debut. Very well could be during the game. Enjoy your evenings
Here’s a fun little video of how I feel the Darcy Kuemper negotiations went down.
All in jest, of course.
Respect to Kuemper and what he did here. One of the nicest players I’ve covered.
I heard from a reliable source that Ball Arena is starting to prepare for fans possibly by next week, definitely by April.
The talk is about 3000 fans allowed
“I just can’t see any other sport letting a guy lay there bleeding”
Nathan MacKinnon is spot on. We’re all in the same boat on this one but this is egregious. I’d be willing to bet the NHL tightens up after getting called out by one of it’s superstars.
If you're looking for factual reporting, follow the credentialed *reporters* in the pressbox that have worked hard on this story and covering the defending Stanley Cup champs all season. If you're not sure who these people are, reach out and I'll share.
Landeskog appears to be moving better. Still keeping it at a slow pace but putting weight on both sides, not favoring one side over the other and crossing over both ways.
Looks good, just keeping it very slow.
Val Nichushskin on the event from the playoffs last year:
“I know you guys want to find something there but there is nothing…”
“Time to focus on this year”
Here are the glorious Avs refrigerator magnets you’ve heard about on the podcast! Taking Avsland by storm
Let me know if you’d like one for your fridge I’ll gladly send one your way!!

From Matt Cooke kneeing Barrie, to Roy quitting, to bounced by Nashville, to guts all over the place and now this... I cant believe how far this team has come.
#PresidentsTrophy
For someone to run with this report as a Nichushskin story and claim they had it first, especially after the team refused to confirm anything is irresponsible and unethical journalism.
All of the Avalanche media, including myself had the same report from the fire department as Mr. undercover journalist, who reports from home because he does not have a credential to attend Avs games. No one reported this info because it only said that a 28-year-old woman…
So for a has-been to sit there on his couch and claim they were on top of the story the whole time, while everyone else was working on the facts and were being responsible journalists, is silly. This guy fights his hardest to remain relevant but can only do so by trying to…
Snippets of some of the less popular, less crowded media scrums from last night. Interesting level of acceptance of the team’s tough situation from each of them:
@MileHighSports
I’d like to address the stones being thrown at Avalanche media for the Nichushskin coverage mainly because the guy throwing the stones is wrong and simply continuing his trollish and constantly annoying, whiny behavior
Preds fan throws catfish as his team is down 4-0.
Sweet timing.
He walked away shamefully and heard it all the way up the stairs and even got a beer shower.
Probably was just tired of smelling like fish
Thank you Avs fans for another amazing season, my favorite one of my four seasons covering the team.
Thanks for following, reading and listening to my stuff. I truly love you all and without my followers this would not be worth it.
Let's have a fun offseason!

Magnet calendars are back and better this year!
Slide into the DMs with your address and I’ll get them out before opening night.
Last year was pretty successful I think so wherever you are in the world, ill try to get it to you
The Nichushskin story is a very sensitive matter and a situation my colleagues approached responsibly. For those that were there in Seattle and had been on top of this story since first intermission of Game 3 (aka shortly after the incident happened), it was important for them…
It wasn’t until Thursday that local and national media that were digging into this story received the POLICE INCIDENT REPORT (yes, it absolutely exists). It had the names and facts necessary to finally run the story responsibly.
Tonight’s locker room moment of the night; Ian Cole telling young Mitchell Sakic about how he would hide beer cans in soda can casings when he was in college. Classic.
Really happy for Jesse to accomplish this this season.
Jesse has done a lot of the dirty work to help put Guerilla Sports on the map. The whole GS crew makes it possible. Nothing but pros.
We’re here to stay. 🦍
Kind of a cool moment for me this morning.

Arenas in one season.
I’m extremely fortunate to do what I do, and I know I speak for everyone at
@guerillasports_
when I say that your support is what drives us everyday to be better. Thank you for making this possible.
The Landeskog news doesn’t surprise me whatsoever, I had the feeling the whole time.
A major void in the lineup sure, but what this team has been able to accomplish this year without him proves they are still real contenders. Only now, they’ve learned to thrive through adversity
Things we learned today?
PE Bellemare warmed up early
Martin Kaut is there and is focused
There are defenseman present
Francouz has fresh set of pads
Being back feels so right
Ian Cole no longer has a beard
Focusing camera harder than it looks
Calvert was on the ice afterwards
