well I finally bought the first ever product that was released in Finland. Here's the list of names that were changed in 1998 to have it's names to be more faithful to the original names. Only the names of Toby and Bertie were kept. the rest were changed
Before the show came out in Finland in 2003. the first Thomas product to be translated was "Tell the Time with Thomas". Thomas is not called "Tuomas Veturi" as we know it today, Thomas was named Viljami-veturi. Finnish for "Wilbert". This was later changed in 1998

Fun fact: the original Thomas the tank engine theme was played and recorded on this very same piano. It stayed in John Lennon’s studio (Later becoming Ringo’s when he bought the Tittenhurst property) and it remained there when Mike and Junior began recording music for the series!

One of my best memories at Drayton Manor was going up to random employees asking: "Hi, where's the display with the movie props"? -"Huh? Movies?" "The room with the toy trains running" -"Oh, that's at the back over there, to the right".
People saying Drayton is a theme park and the prop display is barely a blip on their radar are correct, they're not a museum. They have other much more important things to worry about, which is all the more reason the display shouldn't be there in the first place

Just a reminder, this is what happened to Ben's prop when a small plastic log hit his cab during filming for season 12, now imagine that, but for a way more fragile, even older model like gordon, he will not survive drayton, stop defending them
The Thomas & Edward that used to be here were beaten to death and people pretend they look “okay” today because they got repainted. Mighty Mac was straight up dropped on the floor. They survived because they were made of Brass. This is the original plastic Gordon. He’s cooked.

The first item I purchased from the auction is the TATMR A Cam Slate. It is a huge honour in the industry to be given the slate face on the final day of production. It’s usually reserved for directors, DPs, and showrunners. It is a massive honour to be its new caretaker.
