As Dept. of Archaeology confirmed the absence of any cemetery in the close vicinity of the de-mining site where human remains were found, Mutur Magistrate Ms HMT Fowsan, Wednesday (30) ordered the Sampur police to invite relevant parties on Aug.6th to discuss further proceedings.
After inspecting the de-mining site in Sampur where human remains were found 3 days ago, Magistrate of Muttur Ms H.M.T. Fowsan, on Wednesday (23), instructed judicial medical officer, Dept. of Archaeology & officials of Mine Advisory Group to submit 2 separate reports by July 30.

The total number of skeletal remains found in the Chemmani mass grave in Jaffna peninsula, rose up to 115 as the forensic team led by archaeologist Prof. Raj Somadeva concluded their work for Wednesday (30), marking the 25th day of the 2nd phase of excavations.
