Year 6 have had a lovely afternoon with @YorkshireWater. The children learnt how they treat water before it reaches our homes and then focussed on how to prevent blockages in our drains

Our Year 5 Geographers have been reflecting on urban history. They compared London’s skyline before and after WWll. They explored how the city was rebuilt and what architects had to consider when shaping the London we know today. ⁦@JCA_Geography

In Geography, Year 4 have enjoyed taking part in some fieldwork to locate and identify different trees around our playground. They then plotted these onto a four figure grid and wrote the coordinates down for others to find 🌳🌲 ⁦@JCA_Geography#fieldwork

Lines of enquiry: Maps inspired from our story ‘What the Ladybird Heard’. Whole group modelling using google earth of our school. Followed by independent maps of our homes which included ‘ a long road’ , ‘a supermarket’ and ‘a big train track’. #stgroveeyfs #stgroveutw

In Geography, Year 3 have been using maps of Wrenthorpe to help us to answer our big question- how does human geography support our community? We debated which features of our local area were the most important. #oracy @JCA_Geography 🌍
