As a floor, we can probably use his performance against P5 competition as a True Freshman (~7 yd/att) Those catchable pass and pass depth numbers also pop I'm also fine imagining higher upside considering he's had multiple years with Faulkner now

I think that experience encompasses how I view that staff's approach to the NIL & Portal era. I never did end up working with any staff on UF's roster construction or recruiting side. Always felt like a missed opportunity, especially in those early days.

Story time: Most of my experiences with the last staff were positive. But early on in the Napier era, a Director-level player personnel staff reached out to me to chat recruiting analytics. They ghosted our scheduled 1pm meeting. At 5pm I got a text: "sorry i was pass out"
That sounds like we either didn’t know how to manage money or how to develop….

It's impossible to know how a HC, much less a OC/DC or Asst hire will turn out The odds are that they fail, so if you want to look smart just say "it's a bad hire" But IMO fans should have fun, try to learn something, & enjoy the new perspectives a staff change brings

A lot to like about the hire (nerd stuff in reply) A ton of diversity in playstyle over his career. Consistencies are Gap runs + elite Screen passing. He also tends to have a shallower vertical passing attack, but the deep shots that are taken hit at a very high rate
