Dr. @tfishermd tackles the pandemic and structural inequalities of America's healthcare system during a year in his South Side Chicago ED. Interspersed with letters to his patients, his book intimately demonstrates that only when we have a just society will we have just medicine.

More post-shooting psychological programs are needed to treat those suffering from the vast aftereffects of gun violence.

We strongly believe that CNA and other configurational comparative methods (like qualitative comparative analysis) can complement a range of other methods, both qualitative and qualitative to gain powerful new insights into health inequities

We used a similar approach using CNA to examine inequities in COVID-19 vaccination rates in Philadelphia neighborhoods: https://t.co/Ih0gWBq7fp

CNA is particularly well-suited to understanding geospatial inequities in state firearm policies because it can be applied to a relatively small number of cases, typically between 10 and 100 cases.

Proud to work with these powerful thought partners to uncover how state firearm policies intersect. @edmiech has coined the term "geoconfigurational" in that CNA can identify geospatial patterns that relate to inequities.@RushUniversity @drexelpubhealth
I'd like to share a brand new article in Preventive Medicine with an incredible team: @JArmandRich, @edmiech, and @teddycorbin. We used coincidence analysis (CNA) to analyze difference-making firearm laws for state homicide and suicide rates.🧵(1/) https://t.co/ikDiXO48Of

Being seen . . . Priceless!
A quick story. I’m on ambulatory medicine at the VA. Yesterday I went to get a patient from the waiting room. A Black man who served in Vietnam. When I introduced myself as Dr. Igwe, he gave me a very strange look. I asked if I had the wrong person, but he said “no, that’s me”.

Stupid & inaccurate comments on Critical Race Theory abound on @msnbc - @Morning_Joe guest says parents in VA. concerned about texts that "demonize" all white ppl. There are NO CRT texts that "demonize"all white ppl. To document & analyze systemic racism is not a personal attack.
