Learning the UE and C++ wombo combo. This is gonna be. Interesting. Hoping one day to get neovim working with UE, but I guess this will have to do for now. Anywho, later nerds! I got code to learn.

Wellas (well fellas), we have the fancy U on linux. #ByeByeWindows I'll be curious to find any shortcoming or missing features, but so far it seems fully functional.

I'm a Tux boy now. Attempting to install UE for Linux, we'll see how that goes. It's a 2 hr dl for me, so if it's broken, I will definitely not be doing much with it for a while until the next long weekend. -The (new) penguin lover. 🐧.

Work has been and will continue to take more of my time. So there won't be much work on the game I've posted prior. However, I have started experimenting with Godot, and while I think it'll take me a while to get comfortable, I think I might use it for some small-scale projects.

Sorry for the lack of updates the past few days, been getting stuck at work later and later each day that passes. Might have to fail my goal of 3x a week updates for this week, but I'll be back to it once things calm down and I'm not working 14+ daily.

Today I got bored of doing art. I implemented an autosave function, as well as some debugging tools for myself for later. Unfortunately the models still have issues, so I'll probably have to get back to that sooner rather than later (as well as texturing).

Apologies on no update yesterday, spent the day in blender just resizing and adjusting things I've already made to be more performant in engine. Here is a little demonstration of where the game is at right now. Once I get the models in, I think it'll be more fun to look at lol.

Got off work late today, so not too much got done. I did manage to get a new wall with windows, but it's getting late now. Hopefully tomorrow will be more fruitful, and I'll be able to at least get the models in engine to start grayboxing. Later fellow nerds!

First update: This took 2 hours. Had it done in 20m, but wanted to make it modular. I still haven't figured out to make them snap together on different rotations (90*). Anywho, I only have another 30m to work, so this will have to do today. Thanks for listening to my TED talk lol

Today I'm committing to consistent work on a game. I'm going to aim for 3x a week progress posts to keep accountable. We'll see how long that lasts 😆.
