It amazing he didn't have to say a thing and I was in tears. My inner child who had such a rough upbringing feeling like the world hated him just for existing and didn't care about him nor celebrated him wept. He wanted to speak to Steve and let him know how he was feeling.

Moments like this make me super emotional. My grandmother was born during the segregation period, and my great-grandmother was a slave. To see a black woman at the top of a major party ticket with so much support brings my heart so much happiness.
