I've just got back from a wonderful BTO Bird Camp in Pembrokeshire. I learnt so much from everyone there about many aspects of natural history. If you are between the ages of 12 and 18, do be sure to attend next year's camp! Thank you @cameron_b_trust & @_BTO

We had a brilliant ringing demo for our WOS young members yesterday! We caught a nice range of species to show everyone and teach them about ringing with the highlights including a Treecreeper and Woodpecker! Thanks to @mattthesparrow for leading it

The variety of fungi in the New Forest is just incredible! All of these species were found within two days 😍🍄

I had a brilliant weekend at the @WildNewForest1 camp! Lots of fungi hunting, BioBlitzing and moth trapping! My biggest highlight was seeing 3 Goshawks and photographing loads of different species of fungi 😍🦅🍄

We managed to get so close to the Red Squirrels at Brownsea and they were literally running around our feet! They are the most perfect models and I really enjoyed capturing some shots of them munching on a big hazelnut or having a quick scratch!

We were up early, walking to the hides in the pitch black to get there in time to watch the sunrise over the lagoon 😍 Spoonbills, Sika deer, Kestrels, Redshank and of course Red Squirrels 🐿️

This weekend I am very excited to be staying at the beautiful Brownsea Island with the Dorset Women’s Nature Photography group and @lucymorriswild to keep me company! I can’t wait to see what the weekend has to bring and to explore more of the island!

We had a lovely morning ringing session at Martin Down Nature Reserve the other morning! There were lots of young Blackcaps around, a few finches including Greenfinch and Goldfinch and the highlight of the day was a beautiful young female Stonechat 😍 @hantsbirdnews @HOSbirding

Another great day at the @FieldStudiesC Young Darwin Scholarship camp! We went out to some local reserves to learn about the conservation efforts and management schemes there and about the wildlife that call the sites home 🦡🦅
