The February 2026 schedule for PBS KIDS eliminates SKILLSVILLE entirely, but it may be that APT or some other distributor will pick up the series, allowing local stations to continue airing the show later on.

While there is no official public announcement regarding this, some PBS schedules are now tagging the show title with "(PBS)". This kind of notation has been used in the past to designate programs that are carried by PBS and another distributor (like American Public Television).

As you may know, the new show SKILLSVILLE faced an abrupt cancellation when federal funding for PBS was cut earlier this year. There may be a glimmer of hope for the series. It appears that there may be a new distributor for the show soon.

Frank Gehry made a special appearance on ARTHUR in Season 9's "Castles in the Sky". Heavy snow brings down the treehouse, and Arthur and his friends try to design a new one to build in its place. Gehry helps them learn what goes into good architectural design. RIP Frank Gehry
