Iโd say itโs close! I think around this time, people compared the 8 from Hemric more to the BK Racing 83, given the drop shadow and outing perhaps. I think, personally, the DH 8, with skew, could resemble the SHR 98 more, versus the BK 83.
@ItsMichaelCarey Plz tell me Iโm not the only one who notices this, and I could be wrong/mistaken but the 8 font in the 98, looks so much like the exact 8 that RCR used for Daniel Hemricโs first few Cup starts with the Smokey Mountain Snuff sponsorship (green car btw)

The old No. 98 bothered me as well but then when they ended up modernizing it to this version, this was an *excellent* upgrade!
@ItsMichaelCarey The 39 and 98 are two of the worst looking numbers of the modern era. They look like random mis-matched fonts paired together. One has rounded traits while the other is more squared.

When Stewart-Haas Racing and Biagi-DenBeste Racing partnered in 2018 onward in the Xfinity Series, the traditional fonts for both teams were retired and the No. 98 and No. 00 received newer ones for the 2018 season. I always thought the new fonts for the No. 98 and No. 00 in

With SVG going from the #91 to the #88 to the #97, been trying to think back on the last time one driver drove three different numbers for the same team. Closest I could recall was Chase Elliott when he went from the #25 to the #24 to the #9 for Hendrick.

Another great one! It's pretty crazy to think @McDonalds has been in #NASCAR for over three decades and staying somewhat consistent on a sponsorship basis. I think if you'd ask a group who they connect the McDonald's sponsorship to the most, you'd get varying answers.
@ItsMichaelCarey You also got McDonaldโs. I mean they went from Bill Elliott #94 then CGR and now theyโre at 23XI.

I'd take it that the Dillon 2015 design was the first of the utilization of the thin stripes across a race entry. I like how it's been different red, white and blue variations of the thin stripes. Perhaps it's a nod to their a vast majority of products being American made?
