spoke to 3 teams this week who plan to build their V2s as appchains. reasons I heard were:.- expand audience w/ multichain play and a central chain for state.- bleeding rev to a base layer that is not theirs.- customize tx ordering. the best part about it: they want to build.

PumpChain seems inevitable. Pump users have paid ~3.775m SOL in base gas fees to Solana validators since Jan 2024. That's nearly $611m in additional revenue dropped and value leaked out of the pump eco. Alon could have sent over half a B more to kippahstayson.sol. A.

tradfi rails are still proper garbage. i tried to do a wire for the first time in a while:.- need to go IRL.- regular ID was not enough, need passport because it's international (to Canada).- 2pm cut off time if international.- 3-5 business days transfer time.- fee == 100+ gwei.
