And the sadness of that day will matter less than the undeniable joyous rupture of Palestinians being free on their land.

And we will realize that while we used every strategy under the sun to dehumanize Palestinians we destroyed our own humanity. And that our historical enemies “won”, but not by their ability to kill us, but by their ability to turns us into them.

One day this nightmare will end, and ‘Israelis’ will have to face the failed attempt to form a people on the unfying principle of turning trauma into supremacy.

Demolishing houses will not displace the truth & assasinating journalists will not rewrite history & incarcerating children will not lock up their freedom dreams & changing names of streets will not make folks forget their homes.

Thinking about how these little cis legislators and their attempts to police “trans bodies” are kind of like trying to shape the ocean with a cookie cutter. Like obsessively trying to define something that in the deepest sense can only be experienced.

So besides the flawed essentialist logic, and the cruelty of salting already open wounds, it’s the audacity of *not only* knowing nothing about us but assuming we are the delusional ones who think we r the same as you?? We know who we are. The question is, do you?

We are the ones who know the ins and outs of cis bodies, cis systems, cis hierarchies, cis (suppressed) desires. We know & navigate the exact ways in which we can and cannot, want and don’t want to be in proximity to you.

The way some of these cishet minds would be blown if they’d know the detailed list so many trans ppl can make of every single way we are different than cis folks of our assigned sex & actual gender. The subtilties they never had to consider.
