It was a pleasure to join @MichaelBroecker & his colleagues in the #TableToday podcast. We covered a lot of ground: monetary policy and inflation, the impact of tariffs, the emergence of a new European growth narrative, and fiscal challenges, with the following key messages. 1/8.

In recent years, we have learned that we cannot “look through” supply-side shocks if they are persistent and threaten to de-anchor inflation expectations. When the inflation regime changes, we must be ready to respond swiftly. #MonetaryPolicyStrategy 7/8.

Today, we are celebrating #IDAHOBIT, the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexphobia, and Transphobia. After some internal reflection, I am choosing this day to return to this platform. Let me explain my reasoning in a brief thread. 1/5.

I found myself continuing to read content on this platform, which led me to decide to engage actively again. I don’t want to remain on the sidelines while others may dominate the debate in a one-sided fashion. Instead, I want to contribute my voice where it can be heard. 4/5.

As before, I will primarily focus on central banking topics related to my work at the @ecb, and I will continue to post on other platforms as well. The decision to return was not made lightly, but for now, it feels like the right choice. 5/5.

Tomorrow marks the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp and we will gather at the @ecb to honour the memory of Holocaust victims, particularly those deported from the Großmarkthalle in Frankfurt which forms part of our main building. 1/3.

We will meet survivors who talk about their memories from those atrocious times. I cannot stand at our Memorial while still being active on a platform owned by someone promoting far-right parties and asking us to move beyond what happened in the darkest hours of our history. 2/3.

#WeRemember and we #NeverForget, and therefore I will as of now stop posting actively on this platform. You will find my usual posts after speeches and events on other platforms, especially Blu*sky and L*nkedIn. I would be delighted if you decided to follow me there. 3/3.

It is great to talk to young people and explain to them what we do. In our Visitor Centre, we have a small version of our Governing Council table, creating an authentic atmosphere. One surprise for me was that quite a few of the young people said they prefer using cash to cards.
