This amount is equivalent to the purchase of six hundred & thirty five thousand (635,000) cases of women with normal deliveries, One million, eight hundred thousand (1,800,000) under 5-childhood illnesses or One million three hundred & fifty thousand (1,350,000) cases of malaria

This guarantees that the BHCPF will help reduce inequality in use and access of services particularly by the most vulnerable. Consequently, residents of Abia State will benefit from services worth N1.08bn over the next 9 months.

Today, we flag off the enrolment of clients for the Basic Health Care Provision Fund, BHCPF in Abia State. To ensure equity in the disbursement of funds, we have allocated resources per State based on the incidence of poverty and also on a per capita basis.

Today, we launched the assessment checklist for Federal Tertiary Hospitals. The checklist will assess the quality of services in our tertiary health institutions, improve patient safety and overall clinical governance for better clinical outcome. Quality of Care is our goal.

I was at the @nassnigeria today to brief Senators on the current state of healthcare facilities and services across the country. We are using the ongoing rehabilitation of Primary Health Centres across the country as a springboard to repositioning the sector.

We are conscious of the enormous implementation challenges ahead. 22 States have so far demonstrated interest. Baseline assessments, State and facility level training and a performance management system all have to be in place in the next couple of months.

It is my pleasure to inform Nigerians and our partners that the sum of N12.7bn was disbursed into the NHIS, NPHCDA & NCDC TSA accounts at the CBN. The specific sums are as follows: NHIS - N6.5bn (50% of available resources) NPHCDA - N5.8bn (45%) NCDC - N327m (2.5%)

Today, we signed a management contract between @Fmohnigeria and MDS Logistics for two of our zonal warehouses in Lagos and Abuja. This is the first Public Private Partnership, PPP, to be successfully initiated in this regard. @ARC4SC @SupplyChainNtwk
