Experiencing life going to school in the Victorian period, Form 5 enjoyed their recent visit to Blists Hill and the sights, sounds and smells of an authentic Victorian town, and learning about the achievements of the pioneering industrialists. #history @IronbridgeGMT

Cast by the Coalbrookdale Company in 1851 for the Great Exhibition, the Boy and Swan Fountain eventually returned to Coalbrookdale and was re-erected opposite the Old Furnace. It recently underwent conservation work with funding from the NHMF. #EYAAnimals #EYA @explorearchives

Last week Sarah Roberts, one of our Archivists, attended the @SocMusArch Annual Conference 2024 in Cardiff. Sarah delivered a talk on the digitisation of over 400 archaeology plans in 2023, during which she thanked funders for their support. #SMACon2024 #Conference

Last week we welcomed the #HighSheriff of Shropshire, Brian Welti, for a visit to our museums. This was the High Sheriff's first visit to the #museum and he really enjoyed the experience. He even tried his hand in our printing shop! We look forward to welcoming him back soon.
