The Minister of Economy, H.E. Basílio Muhate, met with Ambassador Patrick Empey to discuss ways to deepen 🇲🇿-🇮🇪 cooperation in economic development, trade, business & governance. Ireland reaffirmed its commitment to support Mozambique’s growth and resilience.

The Gov of 🇲🇿 has launched the Child Grant Programme (Cash & Care) in Marrupa, implemented by @UNICEF & funded by 🇮🇪, 🇸🇪 & @ILO. In Niassa, 4,000+ children have already been registered. Nationwide, the programme reached 52,000+ beneficiaries, surpassing its initial target.

With funding from Ireland🇮🇪, IUCN launched the Provincial Environmental Dialogue Platform (PDA) in Inhambane. The PDA unites govt, NGOs, private sector, academia & local communities to protect marine, coastal & land ecosystems, share knowledge, & boost local skills.
