Whenever I hear reference to Minister for Housing James Browne, I HAVE to do the little riff from Tom Tom Club's "Genius of Love".

This news item enraged me when I heard it yesterday, then headlines today about 'no giveaway budget'. Who 'gave' the government the funds in the first place?.

I've been saying this for the last couple of years. The necessary actions to turn things around would have to be universal and would require major, unpopular changes in the way people live (in the West), and these changes would need to be already underway. Never gonna happen.
