My sister’s flight next Wed from New Orleans to Dublin, via Chicago, with @UnitedAirlines has just been cancelled!! She was coming home to see our 90 year old Mum. So upsetting. Must affect so many of the Irish diaspora. @rtenews @IrishTimes #irishdiaspora

Have 3 sisters living in New Orleans. All evacuated, except one brother-in-law, having to stay behind- he’s a fireman at @NOLAFireDept. They all suffered the catastrophic effects of Katrina, praying they won’t have to go through that again, but not looking good. #hurricaneida

Is it just my husband or do men in general always have to take charge of the remote control? Jeez, even if he falls asleep he manages to wake up if I sneak it off his lap. Somehow, he then manages to wangle it back off me without me even noticing. Drives me nuts!!
