Aint been on here in a minute. All I’ll say is that it’s winning, healing, and moving forward season!

It’s thrilling to see artists across all mediums come to a radical understanding in terms of their worth within the “industry” and outside of it. And it’s even more heartfelt that people are living real life. Not pining every decision and move on a “career objective”.

Please stop thinking your ARTISTRY and THE INDUSTRY are the same thing. One is a entity that is truly meant to be expressive, collaborative, and personal. The other is ‘mostly’ a conglomerate that is here to MAKE MONEYYYY Find space to be an artist first. Periodt.

*Clears throat* Anything paying below 900/week in the performing arts circuit, is not sustainable. After taxes, dues, agency fees; you are left with barely enough to afford the essentials. Short story: You do not have to suffer or struggle to be an artist. I refuse it.

Oklahoma City University Fraternities And Sororities are Toxic AF. Fraternities covering up assault to women on NUMEROUS occasions. Both exhibiting racist behavior and feeding fake ass apologies. People are better than this. Don’t let one organization deter your morals.

My time at OCU was for the most part amazing. But the amount of racial insensitivity among frat life and the school life is insurmountable. Kappa Sigma should have known better. 🤦🏾‍♂️
