This is difference in how demographs view crypto & fiat. Boomer/Gen X view Crypto as something trying to replace fiat, ergo not to be taken seriously. Whereas Millennials/Gen Z know Crypto as participation in the network of decentralised systems.
There is this notion, crypto will replace FIAT…it won’t!. FIAT will run on these crypto networks as payment means. FIAT is a medium of exchange for traditional markets. Crypto is a medium of exchange for the execution of decentralised systems.
