They wrote the first Ninjago movie and we know how it turned out. And now they're doing it again in live action?? Respect for the writers, but nothing points to a possible improvement from the last experience.

Exactly!! Also, I've been retracing how the tournament evolved, and I'm pretty sure that's not how elimination contests work. These are the semi finalists' battles up to Ep 8, it looks like Roby was randomly picking players as they go. Are there IRL game shows like this?
Now that 2 certain cameos have been awkwardly revealed in official promotion I can finally give my take that idk if anyone else agrees with. Their inclusions felt so hollow and strange to me and only raised more questions than answers. One of the worst ways to do cameos imo.
