There needs to be a proper review of this to make sure victims receive the justice they deserve. 16 months is an insulting sentence when the actions of the driver leading up to the collision were clearly deliberate.

Sentences like the one given here make our justice system look like a laughing stock, and the lesser Careless Driving charge doesn't give judges anywhere near as much flexibility in sentencing.

The CPS needs clearer guidance on when to charge someone with Causing Death by Dangerous Driving as opposed to the lesser Careless Driving charge. Sentences like this are beyond a joke at this point and they're happening more regularly.

We all know the UK Covid inquiry had extreme shortfalls in Wales' response, so this commitment to hold one by @Plaid_Cymru is excellent news 👍. Other parties should follow suit too because this is vital to learn the lessons of the pandemic and ensure we're ready for the next one.

We need a pro-Wales government next year in the Senedd with a commitment to Independence in the not-too-distant future. The Westminster parties don't work for Wales and never will.

It's never a priority for Westminster to devolve further powers to Wales. We should just be grateful with what we have and remain subservient to those who think they know better.

This is Labour's first time since April where they've topped a Senedd poll, which does show we need more data. Next year's election is about as unpredictable as it gets. Although it's a pretty sad state of affairs when 60% of those asked decide not to respond 😕.

Plaid Cymru lives rent free in the heads of Labour and the Tories, their puerile attempt to make cooperation look bad is rather pathetic. Can we please have some grown up politics in Wales for a change where parties are actively happy to work together in common areas of interest?.

Why can't the rest of the UK have a politician like Andy Burnham that actively wants to invest in public transport for communities?. This is the single best way to get more people moving with affordable, reliable and frequent alternatives. It just makes sense.
