Today, I'm loading in the 3d level data into the game, models, LDR, cell shaders player models, & implementing collision physics & player movement physics in the 3d world. I'm using ThreeJS @threejs for the 3d #typescript #buildinpublic #gamedev #gamer #indiegamedev #pixelart

@threejs Over the weekend, I also implemented blood and despawn particle fx, bomb items, and better game balance in the combat sections and exploration sections. I want to get all 3d objects are properly in the game over the course of this week. 🙏😅

Monetization data for the web build demo has started to be released, today i'm working on the game levels to include the 3d game levels. This would involve working with threejs to render my 3d scenes & implement mesh collisions in the browser. #devlog #gamedev #typescript

I'll still animate for YouTube & Indie games, but not in a professional capacity & I'll largely be taking my old portfolio off of the internet over the coming weeks to months. Not accounting for the time cost & the tools, the returns on investment makes no sense to continue it

Gave my youth to this craft so it was not an easy decision, but I'm okay with animating for indie games and drawing cover art for games. I lost my passion for the craft a while ago, it was about time I closed that chapter of my life & It was fun while it lasted, so No regrets.

Great call from the haters tho, I just couldn't do it anymore. I lovemoney & cute girls wayyyyy more than I love drawing & drawing by hand is way too hard. There's no way animation could support my finances, I'll be miserable, so it's time, I guess I'll leave it all to A.I.

I quit animation, and I'm just going to focus on making indie games games. I have lost all passion for drawing after +28 years & it doesn't even pay the bills at the very least. It was a good run, but I'll be diverting all my energy into game Dev & other finance related fields

I lost 2 days of gamedev doing shitty interview skill test this week, & I'm not doing that again, unless it's a paid test or it's something I'm really specialized in, not like hiring a game Dev to write react & postgres. Seems like a terrible misalignment of goal on that one.

I got "offered" an interview in some "role" by some sketchy lady on linkedin. She offered to share the invitation details with me once I sent over my personal Ireland WhatsApp number. The entire thing seemed too sketchy & I didn't bother replying cuz the job role wasn't stated.

Today, I tested the game's shop mechanics on itchIO. The ads run & doesn't violate itchIO policy, so tomorrow I'll focus on polishing the game's API calls to the hot wallet, as well as adding in the game's 3d levels #devlog #gamedev #gamer #gaming #dev #typescript #rpg #steam
Today I implemented Enemy A.I. pathfinding using aStar pathfinding algorithm. I'm also stress testing the game's API hot wallet backend for low latency regions like Africa with slower internet speeds unlike US, Europe & Asia. #devlog #gamedev #javascript #game #pixelart
