He also told them about Rwanda TVET Qualifications Framework and qualification types from level 1 to level 7 noting that TVET areas of focus include competence Based Curricula, training of trainers, TVET infrastructure development and workplace learning.

Today; DG/WDA @pgatabazi received a delegation led by KAI Sauer Under-Secretary of State ( Foreign and Security Policy) of Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland. The purpose of the visit was to discuss partnership in education, especially TVET and learn TVET System in Rwanda.

The inaguration ceremony was commenced by a tour of two workshops (Electricity & plumbing), each one with a theory classroom, a storage room and a trainers’ office; and the Girls' dormitory that has a capacity to accommodate 180 students.

This activity seeks to accredit the mentioned curricula for quality assurance purpose and develop training organisation guide for PSG curricula.

From 23th November to 4th December 2020 in Musanze District, WDA in collaboration with different companies and industries are in the activity of validation and accreditation of 25 TVET curricula of RP / IPRC level 6&7.@RwandaPolytec

On this Friday 06th November 2020 at least 1,000 youth have graduated from @SDF_Rwanda Call 3 Short-term on job training. They were trained on TVET skills by the C & D factory located in Kigali Special Economic Zone under the Skills Development Fund through WDA.@RwandaPolytec

The trainees –who graduated- lauded the government of Rwanda over the support saying that is an opportunity to develop themselves and the country in general.

SDF grand chairperson said: We are happy that after training, all trainees were employed by the company. This is in drive to reduce unemployment among the youth. We encourage youth to work hard and even create their own jobs from acquired TVET skills.
