Supporter of Indy Gateway's affordable housing and quality-of-life initiatives, Beth Rovazzini, President of @bwplumbing has been appointed its Board of Directors. Beth purchased the business with 3 partners from her parents who started the company in their garage in 1961.

Indy Gateway is pleased to announce Michelle Bodem of Carrier Corporation was recently appointed to its Board of Directors. Michelle serves as the Licensing Specialist for Carrier HVAC Americas overseeing business/contractor licensing for all Carrier North American businesses.

Since 2019 Enterprise Car Rental through the Enterprise Holdings Foundation has been committed to the work of Indy Gateway. This week a 2023 award of $5K was presented by Max Conconato Group Rental Manager to our Executive Director Lisa Bentley and Board President Troy Brosseau.

Juliana Hackel, BMO Relationship Manager presented a $10K grant to Executive Director Lisa Bentley. This partnership aligns to BMO's commitment of "Zero Barriers to Inclusion" & "Boldly Grow the Good" and supports Indy Gateway's goal of increasing home ownership.

IndyGo CEO, Inez Evans, has joined the Indy Gateway Board of Directors. Evans was hired by IndyGo in 2019 with over 30 years in the transit industry and leads nearly 800 employees, oversees over 200 fleet vehicles, and manages a $210 million budget.

Yesterday Indy Gateway board members and Westside leaders joined Mayor Hogsett, Indianapolis DPW, and City-County Councilor Jared Evans, for the announcement of $20m in roadway and stormwater infrastructure improvements coming to W Washington St., between Holt Rd to Lynhurst Dr.

COMMUNITY INPUT WANTED The City of Indianapolis has elected to upgrade playgrounds around Indianapolis. Gateway West Park and Centennial & Groff Park will be two of those playgrounds. A meeting to give input will be at Chuck Klein Sports Complex on Nov.16 at 6:30pm.

John Wesly Papabathini, @FedEx Managing Director, presented a grant of $10K to Indy Gateway toward Affordable Workforce Housing & Transit Education programs. The @FedExIndianapolis Regional Hub has been engaged since 2016 in the Indy Gateway affordable housing program.

Indy Gateway and Merchants West celebrated today the 100th anniversary of local business Davis Jeans on W. Washington St. in Indianapolis. Mayor Hogsett presented a proclamation declaring September 9, 2022, as “Davis Jean and Fashion Day” in the City of Indianapolis.
