The world is choosing India as its space hub. Today, US satellite company’s BlueBird Block-2, heaviest communication satellite ever to be put in Low earth orbit flew aboard LVM-3 “Baahubali”, India’s most powerful operational rocket.

That is the larger arc behind BlueBird. ISRO is not just serving global commercial and communication needs today, but also building the science, infrastructure, and human spaceflight capabilities of tomorrow.

India is now doing cutting-edge astronomy, not just launches.  Then comes the leap toward human presence in space. In 2025, SpaDeX made India the fourth nation to achieve space docking — a prerequisite for space stations.

What an incredible moment! Congratulations to @isro for the successful landing of #Chandrayaan3 on the moon this morning. Today India became the first country to successfully achieve a soft landing on the southern polar region of the moon.

LMV-3, India’s heaviest lifter is also the same launch ecosystem delivered  Chandrayaan-3.  In 2023, India became the first country to land near the Moon’s south pole,long considered too dark, cold, and risky and confirmed sulphur on the lunar surface.

Were you also as mesmerised by us seeing ISRO’s launch of American made BlueBird Block-2 today? The flames, the symmetry, the sheer majesty with which it lifts off. What’s striking is not just how spectacular it looks — but how normal this has become for India.

BlueBird fits into a clear continuum.  For commercial launches, Earth observation, and human spaceflight cooperation, global powers are increasingly choosing ISRO, not as a low-cost  option, but as a dependable partner at the core of the space ecosystem.
