The author doesn't get paid every single time you check out a book but they definitely do get paid when the library has to buy multiple copies of their books to satisfy their patrons. Lots of dumb takes coming from so called readers on this app lately.
having a library card is not all it’s hyped up to be. they don’t have good books on those free apps they give you and they rarely buy new books for the library that everyone wants to read. plus the author does not get paid if you check out a book or download it illegally so idk
