Namor was created in 1939 decades before the F4, his entire character does not start & end with the F4 or Susan. He had his own love interest in Betty Dean in the golden age comics. He was out of comics for a while then brought back by Kirby/Lee. #bettydean #namor

With over 1000s of comics there isnβt going to be perfect writing/characterization in each one. It's very easy to pull things out of context and go "this is proof of X" but that's wrong. Imo a fan should take in all the canon and understand there will be bad writing at times.

Actually building on this more, Jean shows up IN PERSON. Xavier sends a projected mental holoimage. That alone shows how different they are in character/how they show respect towards Namor, who is a King. No wonder why Namor agrees to help Jean & tells Xavier to go fuck himself.

Namor was r/ped and it was OBVIOUS and the writer even spoke about the double standard when it comes to men being SA'd. Only one other Namor fan made a comment about this before me, and I never saw anyone else in fandom say anything.
So many male comic characters are SA victims for some reason and its just never talked about.
