Retail tried returning to crypto in 2024 and got rugged on memes. Then they went to stocks which have done really well. You can tell by all the meme stocks moving and the overvalued plays running that are heavily shorted. Soon stocks get boring then Crypto starts getting wild.

Imagine you, an LP - choosing to LP in a fund instead of investing your capital yourself. You'd rather have a sophisticated investment manager administer your capital than you - as you'd probably lose it all taking gambles or investments that are disproportionately non-sensical.
In general our industry is not doing a great job at allocating capital. Professional and institutional investors are supposed to instil some discipline on raise and valuation but that didn't happen.
