Simply by the look on her face, he could tell she was flustered. His hand trails along her hair to play with the ends of it. “Something the matter, love?”

“A new leaf? Please.. Yes, we did do that.. Which means.. He lets out a breath before reaching out a hand to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear as he speaks. “We are way past politeness.”
“I dunno maybe I’m turning over a new leaf or something” I say with a laugh as he brings up the past “we did do that didn’t we?”

I blush at his words and hide my face before looking back at him “do you really think so?”
