On 14th and 15th December 2022, the IML celebrated its 40th year anniversary with a two-day Conference. Highlights of the Event are difficult to select but include the banquet in the New Forest in honour of Emeritus Professor Robert Grime, one of the founding fathers of the IML.

On 24th November 2022, Professor Andrea Lista delivered an online research Seminar at Dalian Maritime University. The talk explored the application of EU Competition rules to the Maritime Industry, providing reflections on the current status quo and possible future developments.

On 26 October Mr Ian Gaunt (Arbitrator and former President of the LMAA) and Mr Gerard Hopkins (Arbitrator and Honorary Secretary of the LMAA) have delivered to our LLM cohort a very interesting Seminar on the arbitration of maritime disputes in London.
