It is tedious to speak about the betrayal of the population by the UNC, but somebody has to because our hypocritical media is silent. Before the 2025 Election, KPB promised to lower existing taxes, introduce no new taxes, reduce fines, and create jobs. The opposite occurred!

16 years ago, the residents of Paramin, a village I have represented since 1991. came to me and asked me to bring their annual Parang concert back home (the event had left the area). I agreed, and have raised funds for this event since then, on condition that entrance was free

Both S&P and Moody's recently downgraded TT's credit rating Outlook from Stable to NEGATIVE. If PNM was in power and I was the MOF, there would have been dire predictions of economic collapse from the media and howls from the commentators at UWI. Instead, the UNC gets a free pass

It has been my privilege to work with the Paramin Cultural Organisation to put on a free Parang concert in Paramin for the last 16 years. The biggest parang event in Trinidad, probably the world! Last year, we had a crowd of 10,000!This year is no exception. See crowd at 9 pm!

The UNC has changed the composition of the Board of Inland Revenue, to allow, for the first time in our country's history, political appointees to the BIR who will be able to access private tax records and can be in charge of tax audits. This is not done in any other country

Prime Minister Bissessar latest rant is to tell the Express that I'm an "evil gross little man" who will not be remembered when I'm out of the Parliament". However, I will not be remembered for saying "kill them all violently" or "I'll bust your head" or "I'll cuff you down"

The UNC's new Landlord Surcharge will severely affect the small rental properties that poor, elderly people depend on to live. Rents will go up, and many people will be unable to comply with the cumbersome new law. But the PM will no longer have to pay property tax. Is that fair?

The UNC Government has just circulated a 44 page bill, which they intend to railroad through on Friday, with an avalanche of new taxes. Landlord tax, Electricity tax, plus a 20% increase in NIS rates and increased fines, to add to the 100% increase in Alcohol taxes. Wickedness!

The Express has tried to excuse the AG's blatant lie that "practically all" PNM MPs (which means the vast majority) have multiple guns, by describing it as an "exaggeration". This is extremely poor journalism. The truth is that practically all of us have no guns and the AG lied

It is shocking that the Prime Minister is being allowed to escape with impunity from threatening to physically assault me and her minions are being allowed to fabricate a story to excuse her unacceptable conduct. UNC ministers are also telling outrageous lies without any sanction

Last night, the AG said that practically all PNM MPs had multiple firearms, yet we are telling ordinary citizens "none for you". THIS WAS A BLATANT UNC LIE, which could endanger us when criminals come looking for these imaginary guns. In truth, MOST PNM MPs DO NOT HAVE A GUN

Minister Padarath is a boldfaced LIAR. In today's Newsday, he falsely claims that I kept hurling insults at the PM in Parliament on Friday, which is what caused her to threaten to cuff me down. The truth is that the PM arrived late and we had no interaction until her outburst

Her outburst was inexplicable. Both she and I asked for a record of votes at the end of a debate (a division). The Speaker seemed not hear either of us, so I told him that the PM had also asked for the division and pointed at her, whereapon she said she would "cuff me down"

Last Friday, the PM, who is the Chairman of the National Security Council, threatened physical assault in Parliament. This did not appear to be banter, but rather, a statement of intent to be violent, from the person responsible for anti-crime policy in T&T. Where are we going?
