💛 We will continue to advocate for Hope, Control and Opportunity across communities and cultures.

💡 It was only today that ImROC Lead Consultants met to discuss the the Visions and Values of ImROC as we dare to dream of how support could look over the next 5 years and how ImROC will commit to advocating within these spaces.

💛 Despite this being seriously worrying news, ImROC holds accessible, inclusive and approachable mental health support at the heart of everything they do.

🤯 That despite the decades of activism, an independent review of the Mental Health Act and political parties coming together to support the reform, a Mental Health Bill was left out of the King’s Speech.

🗣️ This is seriously disappointing news which says a lot about the place of mental health in political thinking.

‼️Today we learnt that a reform of the Mental Health Act was not on the agenda for the King’s Speech.‼️.

🌟 It is this innovation and integrity that will further carve out the Peer Workforce Path and lead us into alternative support spaces.

💡 The real expertise and innovation came from grass roots services that had pioneered in offering Peer Support. It is this expertise that we must hold at the heart of Peer Work to maintain and celebrate the integrity within statutory services.

📚 Our training was the first coproduced Peer Support Training in England for the purpose of Peer Workers working within statutory services.

🌍 Since the inception of ImROC Peer Support Training, our flagship course has been delivered across 15 countries including Singapore🇸🇬, Hong Kong🇭🇰, Germany🇩🇪, Sweden🇸🇪 and Canada🇨🇦.

🌍 In light of Global Peer Support Celebration Day (19th October 2023) we wanted to celebrate the over 2000 Peer Workers ImROC have trained since 2010.

ImROC's 8 core values guide peer support workers towards respecting and uplifting others in their work. A safe and progressive environment utilising personal strengths without judgement #imroc #peersupport
