Just in general. Working as an informant in the papers, being connected to the underworld + big name pirates while being so hateful of them that he'd try to start a war with cross guild is so interesting I wish I could see the full show with subs so I knew more about it....

I just love how the costume designer just went fully into the newspaper coat for the disguise which just makes the marine jacket SO much more interesting when its the lining UGHHH and the way they full hide the two tone hair until he takes off the hat .... crazy

And yet the system was allowed to run for years. After what Crocodile did in Alabasta it should’ve been disbanded. It never was. And we had to lie and cheat to keep our way as the “good guys” even when we failed our average person while the Strawhats saved their lives.

Progress is never linear, mistakes happen, and it just proves how often ungrateful mutts bite the hands that feed them. We were relying on scum to make our mission easier, and all they did was prove why we need to be rid of all pirates in the first place.
The marines version of absolute justice is not even absolute. The warlord system proved that. So many things proved that. If they even believed in their own words, then all pirates would be criminals, and all hunted. Not giving some passes.

You misunderstand. Your apprehension is what makes you weak, not your rank. If I were to ask you what you thought of the marines absolute justice no doubt you'd have something negative to say, 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 is why you're fodder.
Reducing those beneath you in rank to just cannon fodder is embarrassing. Have some class, Vice Admiral. I’ve got my reasons for being where I am. Believe me, I’m more skilled than most in my rank.
