If the schools in my community—private and public, primary, secondary, and tertiary—were running optimally, poverty here would drop by at least 50%. In fact, I can say without hesitation that much of the poverty in my area is directly connected to the collapse of these schools—

On the Mokwa disaster:.So much said, so little said. Bago on Arise basically admitted three things:. The Mokwa floods were connected to a Dam. The state’s only response was cash transfers to some victims. There’s nothing tangible to expect beyond that. Just palliatives.
