This is just a glimpse of some of the places that I know and that I personally like, but there are many more throughout Spain. There are a lot of hidden gems that not even Spanish people know about. Feel free to share your favorite places as well!

Fields of Castile. This landscape is characteristic of central Spain, and can have many variations, from plains covered with flowers and crops to rolling hills.

Garrocha Natural Park, in Gerona. Here you can find about forty volcanoes covered by lush vegetation. There is a great diversity of flora and fauna in the area.

Bárdenas Reales, in Navarra, is a natural park of semi-desert landscapes full of canyons and rocky hills that create stunning contrasts.

Valles Pasiegos are a set of intricate green valleys between mountains in Cantabria in northern Spain, where you can admire breathtaking landscapes.

Cliffs of Vixía Herbeira, La Coruña. The highest in continental Europe.

Garajonay, La Gomera, Canary Islands. This natural park is home to one of the oldest laurel forests in the world, providing an image of what southern Europe and North Africa might have looked like millions of years ago.

Sierra del Segura, a natural site that extends through the provinces of Jaén, Albacete and Murcia, is home to fertile valleys, olive tree fields, countless rivers and streams and a multitude of historical sites.

Picos de Europa, another mountain range in northern Spain, spread between the provinces of Asturias, Cantabria and León, is home to a green landscape full of forests, high mountains, valleys and meadows, as well as animal species such as the brown bear or the Iberian wolf.

Sierra Tramuntana, Mallorca. With 90km in length, this mountain range stretches along this Mediterranean island. With a rural landscape, it has various types of forests, mountains, lakes, and extends to the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

The Salto del Nervión is a waterfall of more than 270 meters high (the second highest in Europe). It’s located between the provinces of Burgos and Álava. Here the river falls into an impressive canyon to continue its course.

Valle del Jerte, in the province of Cáceres, in western Spain, stands out for the dazzling flowering spectacle that takes place in spring.

Dunes of Maspalomas, Gran Canaria. This area of the island combines beaches, dunes that merge with the Atlantic Ocean, and palm tree forests that give it an oasis-like appearance.
