I’ve recently accepted and been approved to be the Head Girls Basketball coach with PE/Health at Lansing High School in Kansas. Last week I was able to meet many of the student athletes at weights/basketball workouts and am excited for the opportunity. Go Lions!

I’m 25 years old with a lot more coaching ahead of me and I don’t think I’ll ever be apart of a game like that. Down 20 at half and our guys execute a press we have never practiced or learned besides at halftime. That’s mental focus and buying in 100%. I love my players.

has been dominating the state playoffs since 2010 in every sport? Take a trip to the weight room at 6 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. Monday - Friday. Then you’ll have your answer. Outside of coaching the weight room and knowing the work you’ve put in is it.

I’ve played in a lot of basketball games in my life that have resulted in wins and none of them even come close to topping the one my guys just played. All credit goes to them for busting their butt and never giving up on one another.

Iverson and I almost threw hands. I asked him how “Dragon School” was today. He talked about sitting criss cross. I go “yea that’s probably the most comfortable out of your options.” He says “yea your almost little enough to sit that way too”
