Good to see another EIRE sign reappearing around our coast, this time no.15 at Kilmore Quay, Co Wexford. The 1st 'E' is missing but 'IRE' recently uncovered by local community supported by @HeritageHubIRE Look out post still intact and in use

Great to visit Three Castles, Doonlough, Mizen Head, co Cork. Late medieval castle, bawn wall and lake cuts off promontory. Stunning site, privately owned, open to public.

Stunning views today from Harristown passage tomb Waterford. The Hook peninsula & Saltee islands to the east, Comeragh mountains and Tramore to west. Excavated in 1939 by Jacquetta Hawkes.

Finally got to see the Boa Island #Fermanagh figures. Larger, best known, one is two-faced, smaller is from nearby Lustymore island. Both are late iron age or early medieval. Modern coins now left as offerings.

Something not seen very often in Ireland #FindsFriday DPSA mortarium from Bordeaux c.550AD used to grind up food in Roman manner. Grey slip, little foot ring in base. What was called D ware. From excavations at mouth of Boyne 2021.
