Our farmers are attending the Rwenzori seed and food fair in Fort Portal city. The farmers trained by @CommonGroundUg are exiting various activities including vegetables, food crops, crafts among others. @NLinUganda @WURenvironment @ISSDUganda

The community also decided to take this advantage trees to replace the earlier planted trees that eere not doing well and also learn from the current implemented practice like planted Napier and vetiver grass. @NLinUganda @WURenvironment @ISSDUganda

Later in the day we distributed trees agroforestry trees to the community of Namamuka in Bushiyi subcounty. 1500 calliandra, 800 musizi and 200 Cordia trees were planted both in people's gardens and on the restoration site. @NLinUganda @WURenvironment @ISSDUganda

Farmers from Gikolo community in Busanza subcounty Kisoro district were intrinsically motivated on their nursery bed. There was full participation of members as some were potting the seed others were weeding among others activities. @NLinUganda @WURenvironment @ISSDUganda

Rock breaking work ongoing to clear way for road construction of the Bufuma-Namakuche road in Bududa district. This road once completed will connect the two subcounties easily. The community is excited to see the progress. @NLinUganda @WURenvironment @ISSDUganda

Distribution of tree seedlings of Caliandra, coffee, Prunus Africana, Misizi and cocoa today happened in Busayiro -karambi community, Karugutu S/C @NtorokoD. The tree are to be planted on restoration sites, and farmers gardens. @NLinUganda @WURenvironment @ISSDUganda

Road construction is on going on Kagano Road in Kisoro district. The 2.5KM Road will enable farmers access market of their agricultural produce (onions, Irish potatoes, cabbages and sorghum) and other social amenities . @NLinUganda @WURenvironment @ISSDUganda

Itojo Community Road is now fully operational after successful completion by @CommonGroundUg . The 3.5KM road connects Itojo community to Kakindo in Karugutu sub county. The road is to boost access to markets and other social amenities. @NLinUganda @WURenvironment @ISSDUganda

CommonGround project, in collaboration with local government officials, are undertaking a joint monitoring visit to various community tree nurseries and restoration sites. @NLinUganda @WURenvironment @ISSDUganda

The nurseries host a variety of species, including Calliandra, Markhamia, Musizi, Albizia, Grevillea, and Coffee, among others. @NLinUganda @WURenvironment @ISSDUganda

These nurseries were established under the project and are fully managed by the communities themselves, with the primary goal of producing tree seedlings to enhance local access and support land restoration efforts. @NLinUganda @WURenvironment @ISSDUganda
