Today VA experienced a huge win for clean energy as the House passed SB 729 to create the Virginia Clean Energy Innovation Authority 🌱♻️ This will finance clean energy development that cuts GHG emissions and opens the door to funding from the Inflation Reduction Act.

Polling across the Commonwealth consistently shows that Virginian's support clean energy, are concerned about the future impacts of climate change, and want to stay in #RGGI.
Boosting this finding from the @WasonCenter, that 65% of Virginians want to stay in #RGGI. This is consistent with recent @VCUWilderSchool Commonwealth Poll findings, that 70% of Virginians are concerned about climate change and 60% support transitioning away from fossil fuels.
