Mevin has authored 3 books and more than 160 scientific publications in the areas of Bayesian and spatio-temporal statistics with applications in ecology, epidemiology, and environmental science. He was elected fellow of the American Statistical Association in 2017.

Her lab is interested in how climate, species interactions, & global change drive infectious disease dynamics in humans & natural ecosystems.

He builds theory by translating biological hypotheses to mathematical models, using modern inference to fit them to population, demographic, behavioural and physiological data, and applying the conclusions to wildlife conservation, natural resource management and risk assessment.
