Today & each day, we acknowledge the achievements of women around the world. We're inspired by women who have survived war, lived through refugee camps & have picked themselves up to start over in a new country. Happy #InternationalWomensDay from IRIS!

Over 3,000 people participated in the 2024 Run for Refugees on Feb. 11, and @IRISCT surpassed its fundraising goal by raising $168,547 to support services to welcome, house, feed, and uplift the migrant community.

Feb 24th marks 2 years of Russia’s invasion of #Ukraine, displacing nearly 7 million Ukrainians. Nothing will replace homes lost & family left behind, yet, we often meet Ukrainians who are resilient & grateful to live in CT. Today & each day, we honor the struggle for freedom.
