Unity afternoon ⭐️ Respect was our theme today, so we looked at the Para-olympics and how amazing all those athletes are. @OrchardPrimaryA

Languages day 🧑🏼‍🎨 we learnt about all things French, greeting, attractions and even food 🇫🇷🥖

We are loving our topic houses, we like building, drawing and making houses all around in provision and learning all about there features in topic lessons. 🏠Home sweet home 🏠 @OrchardPrimaryA

In YR1 English this week we have been finding the shape in our new writing topic instructions. First we matched the shapes to an example piece of work and then we highlighted the features you may find in instructions, such as action word 🏃and adjectives ⭐️

We had National fitness day last week! 🚴 We got busy doing some yoga stretcher in the morning and then had so much fun choosing out learning and getting active outdoors too. @OrchardPrimaryA @TeamPastoral

In maths today we were counting on from any number to 10, we looked as a class how we would do this on a number line and then went to have a go at making our own number lines from any number outside! 3️⃣4️⃣5️⃣6️⃣ @OrchardPrimaryA @TeamPastoral

In RS last week we looked at the values we should have in our class like, respect, resilience and ambition. We wrote all the things we believe we should be showing in school and made a paper chain promise using them.⭐️💫 @OrchardPrimaryA @TeamPastoral

Friday 13th, Happy Roald Dahl day! We enjoyed reading a little bit of Charlie and the chocolate factory and talk all about the characters the author had created. 🍫🍫 @OrchardPrimaryA @TeamPastoral

In geography this week we’re looking at the features of a house and painting them. All our houses are red, brown, black or orange in colour. They have different numbers of windows but they all have a door. Enjoy our paintings. 🎨🖌️🧑🏼‍🎨 @OrchardPrimaryA @TeamPastoral

We love choosing in our outside provision, mixing in the mud kitchen, create music with the pots and pans and making delicious “fish and chips” with the sand, Please keep the sunshine coming, so we can keep outside🤞☀️ @OrchPrimaryA @TeamPastoral

Unity day! The whole school learnt about influential people, ours was Florence nightingale.👩‍⚕️We made lanterns as she was known as lady of the lamp🏮and bracelets, when she went of to war her family gave her a bracelet made from their hair for luck.@OrchardPrimaryA @TeamPastoral
