Think of it as exorcising the ghost from your call flow and your invoice. 💸 If you’ve been experimenting with Twilio’s #ConversationRelay, OpenAI #RealtimeAPI, or any real-time AI assistant, this update makes it much easier to plug them in directly.

But not anymore. With the latest features, you can now add a TwiML App directly to a Conference using the Participants subresource. No more outbound ghost calls. No spooky billing surprises. Just a clean, direct connection between your Conference and your AI agent.

Until now, if you wanted to connect an AI assistant to a Twilio conference call, you had to create a “ghost leg”: an outbound call to a Twilio-managed number that dialed back in to join your conference. That meant extra setup, extra cost, and a touch of spectral complexity. 👻
