The proposed federal budget cuts to the PAIMI program would cut IDR's funding from $644,339 to $230,610 and drastically reduce IDR's ability to investigate abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

IDR's work promotes disability rights in ways that also promote the economy and the disability community's standard of living. Employment improves people's quality of life and purchasing power, while bolstering the bottom line of employers and state and federal governments.

IDR can visit any facility that serves people with disabilities. Last quarter, IDR conducted 30 monitoring visits at 10 facilities. Our investigations & monitoring resulted in 4 reports to state licensing agencies.
