Today Illinois EPA staff brought hands-on environmental education to Springfield’s Lindsay Elementary for the Project SCOPE! 🌎. Students explored the water cycle through the Incredible Journey & made bracelets to track a water molecule’s path and share what they learned! 💧

In 2012, Illinois banned electronics from landfills under the Electronic Products Recycling & Reuse Act, driving 75M+ pounds of e-waste recycled in year one. ♻️. In 2024, Illinois collected ~9.7M pounds. Devices may be smaller, but e-waste recycling is still vital. #55YearsofIEPA
