In 2012, Illinois banned electronics from landfills under the Electronic Products Recycling & Reuse Act, driving 75M+ pounds of e-waste recycled in year one. ♻️. In 2024, Illinois collected ~9.7M pounds. Devices may be smaller, but e-waste recycling is still vital. #55YearsofIEPA

I'm proud to announce, alongside @ILEPA, funding for 46 new all-electric school buses. Through our Driving a Cleaner IL program, we're replacing older diesel-powered buses and providing the charging infrastructure for new buses. A win for our children, schools, and communities.
