Just throwing this out there: Maybe we as a country should focus on removing lead from all drinking water before fluoride. That's all, just a thought I foresee myself having a few times in the upcoming years.

So my kid made me go to a haunted house with him. Meh. I thought it would be scary. But wasn't nearly as scary as this: #IDtwitter

Yes! I get to do these modules instead of going through my article stack on newest procal analysis, various other papers I have ready to read. But I'm sure it's great for my patients that I'm doing this instead of medical article reading.

LB574: state CMO will make decisions on non-surgical gender therapies. While I'm sure Dr Tesmer is a fine ENT doc, shouldn't those decisions be made by someone in adolescent medicine/psychiatry/endocrinology?

Supporters of LB574 have said kids under 19 not mature enough to make permanent life-altering decisions, so need protection. OK. Given what we know about CTE, should those under 19 not be able to play 🏈? Developing brains are at risk from concussions, with lifelong effects.

I'm not saying that 😷 are a panacea against COVID. To me, minimal data exist with current more transmissible variants. But saying Cochrane review "proves" masks don't help suggests someone didn't read the actual review, just media/commentator talking points.

#mask #COVID19 Cochrane review: Let's study to see if 💧puts out 🔥. But include regular 🔥, grease 🔥, electrical 🔥, and chemical 🔥. And sometimes, they meant to apply 💧, but actually didn't. Result:💧doesn't work against 🔥.

Note: this was written in "sarcasm font". Most vaccines good/useful. Yes, there are rare adverse reactions to many of them, which is very unfortunate to those involved. Much less rare, though, is a lot of the poor information out there.

Just great. Next thing you know, swarms of bees with autism and myocarditis. Are bees allowed to report to VAERS? https://t.co/E9cXEVTrd2

It's a problem with legislating medicine. A lot of things not clear-cut. XY with complete AIS usually considered female, don't have ovaries (which you don't know at birth, or ever unless imaging) are considered healthy but sterile.

Laws are about details and minutae. Some LB574 text here. Androgen insensitivity syndrome not uncommon. Chromosomes XY, but if complete looks fully XX. Usually considered female. Androgen levels way high. So can target those high levels found in a "healthy female"? #NeLeg
